General Purpose Lithium Grease with Multi Lubrication Uses

The correct consistency grade of AMSOIL Synthetic Multi-Purpose Grease is recommended for use in light and heavy duty applications found in manufacturing plants, automobiles, agriculture machinery and construction equipment. They are a general purpose lithium grease with multi uses including, but not limited to, roller bearing, plain bearing, thrust bearing, fitting, gear, electric motor, press, winch, bushing, wheel bearing, chassis, universal joint, ball joint, tie rod end and steering knuckle lubrication.

AMSOIL Multi-Purpose Greases come in NLGI 0, NLGI 1 and NLGI 2 grades. Each of these greases contain the same viscosity base oils and additives, but contain different amounts of thickener.

• AMSOIL Synthetic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease NLGI 0 contains the least thickener, making it more suitable for cold temperature applications
• AMSOIL Synthetic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease NLGI 2 contains more thickener, making it better suited for high temperature, high moisture and high speed applications
• However, because AMSOIL Synthetic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease NLGI 0 and NLGI 1 are synthetic lithium complex greases, they are also excellent for use in high temperature applications

How to Apply

Maintaining a clean work environment is important when equipment greasing is performed. Wipe grease fitting clean prior to injecting grease to prevent contaminant ingestion. Maintain bearing housings one-third to one-half full of grease. Do not over grease, as excessive heat buildup can result. Supplement standard grease maintenance by periodically cleaning and packing housings with fresh grease on an established maintenance schedule. AMSOIL Synthetic Multi-Purpose Greases are suitable for use up to 350°F. When operating at elevated temperatures, frequent regreasing may be required.
