Industry standard testing demonstrates that AMSOIL Marine EP Gear Oil provides 50% more extreme pressure protection than the competition for long gear and bearing life. Testing also demonstrates zero foam in both new and water-contaminated samples of AMSOIL Universal Synthetic Marine Gear Lube; other conventional gear lubes can foam when mixed with water. AMSOIL Universal Synthetic 75w-80w90 Marine Gear Lube is an exclusive AMSOIL formulation of synthetic base oils and high performance additives that address the specific concerns of marine applications. It is an EP (extreme pressure) gear oil that provides superior protection from shock loading caused by propeller cavitation. Cavitation is common in high horsepower, high torque applications and occurs when the propeller spins too quickly, mixing air with water and losing traction, causing vibration, noise and lower unit shock loading. AMSOIL Universal Synthetic Marine Gear Lube offers superior protection for fast accelerating, high torque-horsepower engines.

AMSOIL Universal Synthetic 75w-80w90 Marine Gear Lube is marine formulated, so it protects against corrosion and rust and is compatible with aluminum, copper and brass alloys.
Water Resistant
AMSOIL Universal Synthetic Marine Gear Lube is water resistant. It maintains extreme pressure protection even when contaminated with as much as 10% water. Water contamination increases the likelihood of foaming. The presence of foam in a lubricant disrupts oil film and promotes wear. AMSOIL Universal Synthetic Marine Gear Lube promotes longer seal life, preventing excessive water leakage.

Marine gear oils operate in environments subject to water contamination. AMSOIL Universal Marine Gear Lube is SAE 75w-80w90 and replaces both 75w90 and 80w90 gear oils.
Oil Change Interval
Follow manufacturers recommended oil change intervals. It is generally a good idea to change gear oil at the end of the season prior to storage.
