Exceeds Emission System Requirements — Extends the Life of Diesel Particulate Filters

AMSOIL Premium 15w40 Synthetic Diesel Oil is a low-sulfated ash formulation that provides excellent performance in low-emission diesel engines. It is compatible with all diesel exhaust treatment systems and is designed to extend the service life of diesel particulate filters (DPF).

Controls Soot Thickening and Wear

The advanced synthetic base oils in AMSOIL Premium 15w40 Synthetic Diesel Oil are naturally resistant to soot contamination. That, along with a heavy fortification of detergent/dispersant additives, keeps soot particles suspended independently, helping prevent the formation of larger, wear-causing particles. Viscosity increase is minimized and soot related diesel engine wear is controlled.

Reduces Oil Consumption and Emissions

AMSOIL Premium 15w40 Synthetic Diesel Oil has lower volatility (burn-off) than conventional petroleum oils. Because less oil vapor passes into the combustion chamber, oil consumption and emissions are reduced. Additionally, lower volatility helps AMSOIL Premium 15w40 Diesel Oil retain its viscosity after high-temperature service for continued dependable protection.

AMSOIL Premium 15w40 Synthetic Diesel Oil is engineered for a wide range of applications, allowing fleet operators to consolidate engine oil inventories in mixed fleets. In addition, it reduces operating costs and downtime through extended oil change intervals and improved equipment protection.

Extended Oil Change Intervals

AMSOIL Premium 15w40 Synthetic Diesel Oil can extend oil change intervals far beyond those recommended for conventional petroleum oils. Its unique synthetic formulation and long drain additive system (10.4 TBN) deliver superior engine protection, cleanliness and performance over extended oil change intervals. AMSOIL Premium 15w40 Diesel Oil provides maximum protection for up to 3 times the OEM-recommended oil drain interval, even further with oil analysis. AMSOIL Premium 15w40 Diesel Oil is recommended for extended oil change intervals in engines that are unmodified and in good operating condition.

Diesel Engine Service:

Three times (3X) OEM* recommendation, not to exceed 50,000 miles/600 hours or one year, whichever comes first, with the following exceptions. Drain intervals may be extended further with oil analysis.

• 2007 - 2009 Caterpillar C13, C15 on-highway engines must follow OEM drain interval
• 2007 - 2010 Dodge 6.7L, Ford 6.4L, GM 6.6L LMM light duty diesel pickups must follow OEM drain interval. Drain intervals can be extended further with oil analysis.

Gasoline Engine Service:

Two times (2X) OEM* recommendation, not to exceed 15,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first.

*Original Equipment Manufacturer. Operating conditions and drain intervals for normal and severe service are defined by the OEM. Refer to your owner's manual.

Note: extended oil drain intervals are not recommended when using biofuels containing >10% ethanol or 5% biodiesel (B5). Follow OEM drain intervals or extend drain intervals with oil analysis.

Oil Filter Service Intervals

Extended oil change intervals are based on the user following AMSOIL recommended oil filter service intervals. Install a new oil filter at time of oil change.

• AMSOIL Ea Oil Filters and Donaldson Endurance Oil Filters are full flow oil filters designed for extended oil drain intervals. They stop smaller particles, have less restriction and last longer than regular oil filters. For best performance, use AMSOIL Ea or Donaldson Endurance oil filters. If using other brands of oil filters, install a new oil filter at time of oil change then change at the OEM's (original engine manufacturer) recommended filter change intervals.
• For maximum engine and oil life, AMSOIL Ea Bypass Oil Filters are specialized for the removal of small, wear-causing dirt particles. These filters are placed outside the main line of oil circulation, using an AMSOIL Bypass Oil Filtration System mount.

Good to Know

• For best results, use AMSOIL Engine and Transmission Flush before installing AMSOIL synthetic motor oil.
• For maximum engine protection, use an AMSOIL Ea Oil Filter and an AMSOIL Ea Air Filter.
• AMSOIL recommends checking the oil at a minimum of every 3,000 miles to maintain proper fill levels and maximum engine protection.

• Most quick lube service centers will install these products upon request or install them yourself.

Applications

AMSOIL Premium 15w40 Synthetic Diesel Oil is recommended for diesel and gasoline engines, including those under warranty, requiring the worldwide specifications listed on the AMSOIL Corporate website (see "Engine Protection Requirements" below).

Note: AMSOIL Premium 15w40 Synthetic Diesel Oil is backwards compatible and safe to use in pre-2007 diesel engines. It is suitable for use in older on-road and off-road applications, with or without diesel particulate filters, fueled by ULSD, as well as higher sulfur containing fuels.
