Eliminates Break Noise and Clutch Slippage
AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluids are specifically
designed for heavy-duty powershift transmissions found in
commercial and earth-moving applications as well as some
lighter-duty transmissions. These fluids are formulated for fast,
smooth clutch engagements and wet brake
operations; excellent power transmission through
clutches and synchronizers; and superior hydraulic
fluid performance for servo-equipped
units.
AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluids contain top-quality synthetic base stocks and a high level of
top-quality additives selected specifically for
powershift transmissions, offering unmatched
friction performance. Conventional powershift fluids sometimes
have unstable friction characteristics, which may lead to
excessive brake noise, clutch slippage (especially on steep
grades under heavy load) and frequent clutch adjustment. AMSOIL
Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluids are formulated to
eliminate these problems, increase equipment and oil life and extend
time between overhauls. AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluids are available
in three viscosity grades: SAE 10W, SAE 30 and SAE 50.

AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluids'
stable frictional characteristics eliminate the
problems of excessive brake noise and vibration,
clutch slippage, friction surface deposits and
design material degradation. AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift
Transmission Fluids are compatible with common metallic and
nonmetallic friction materials.
Outstanding Wear Protection
AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift
Transmission Fluids are formulated without
viscosity index (VI) improvers for superior shear
stability. They maintain grade throughout service
life, due to their superior shear stability,
providing long-term protection against equipment
wear, even when equipment is frequently subjected
to sustained periods of applied pressure or high
horsepower and high torque. AMSOIL
Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluids exceed
the wear requirements of the Caterpillar TO-4 specification.
Equipment Runs Clean
AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluids' superior
oxidative (oxygen) and thermal (heat) stability inhibits the
formation of varnish, deposits and sludge so equipment runs
clean.
Equipment Operates Up to 50° Cooler
AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluids are excellent
heat-transfer fluids and may help hot-running equipment operate
up to 50° cooler and keep them running in their optimal
temperature range. In low temperatures, they flow readily for
dependable startup and post-startup protection.
Protection From Rust and Corrosion
AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluids protect
equipment from copper corrosion and rust, even during equipment
storage. They do not foam in service, protecting equipment from
metal-to-metal contact and wear that occurs with use of
foam-filled fluids.
Extends Time Between Overhauls and Increases Equipment Life
AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluids provide fast,
smooth gear engagements, reducing the rate of gear and bearing
wear, extending time between overhauls and increasing equipment
life.
Extended Service Life
AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluids are
formulated for extended drain intervals, providing two to five
times the service life of conventional petroleum fluids if kept free of dirt and
moisture. In manual transmissions, AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift
Transmission Fluids may be used for 250,000 miles
or five years, whichever comes first.
To install AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluids, drain the fluid in
the system, replace the filter (if so equipped)
and install the appropriate AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluid.
Viscosity Grades and Applications
AMSOIL Synthetic Powershift Transmission Fluids are available
in three viscosity grades: SAE 10W, SAE 30 and SAE 50. These
oils' special powershift formulation helps keep the advanced
materials used in powershift transmissions working right -- the
binders in paper materials stay strong and elastomers pliable.
They are ideal for use in Fuller, Rockwell, Spicer, Fabco and
Warner manual transmissions and Caterpillar powershift automatic
transmissions. AMSOIL Synthetic
Powershift Transmission Fluids are recommended for
applications requiring the specifications listed
