Praises AMSOIL!

LNG
Publishing Company, Inc.
In the March 2003 issue of
Lubes 'n' Greases,
Automotive Editor David McFall wrote an
in-depth article on the subject of extended oil drain intervals and
touted AMSOIL as a safe, cost-effective and environmentally preferred
choice. He praised AMSOIL for their commitment to excellence and labeled
AMSOIL "unshackled"
for never conforming to industry norms and standards.

Ideal for Vintage and Classic
Motorcycle Engines
AMSOIL Super Heavy-Weight Synthetic SAE 60 Racing Oil is a
high-viscosity oil designed for high-horsepower racing engines,
typically supercharged and alcohol-burning or nitro-fueled, and
requiring a high-viscosity oil to resist the thinning effects of fuel
dilution. It is also ideal for motorcycles where SAE 60 motor oil is
required. It is formulated with a complete American
Petroleum Institute (API) and Japan Automobile
Standards Association (JASO) additive systems and may be used in
any engine requiring specific API and JASO oils.
Such engines include vintage and classic motorcycles, often
equipped with air-cooled engines.
AMSOIL Super Heavy-Weight Racing Oil offers
enduring wear protection and friction reduction in the extreme
service conditions of racing. It has been proven on track to
bring down high engine oil sump temperatures by 20°F.

Reduces Engine Temperature
Because of its ability to reduce friction, AMSOIL Super
Heavy-Weight Synthetic SAE 60 Racing Oil has been proven on-track to bring
down high engine oil sump temperatures by 20°F. Reduced friction
also means more power and less wear.
Heat Stable
Even in long-term, high-temperature service, AMSOIL Super
Heavy-Weight Synthetic SAE 60 Racing Oil forms no sludge, varnish,
deposits or acids and maintains its specified viscosity and
ability to protect and lubricate engines.
Reduces Oil Consumption
AMSOIL Super Heavy-Weight Synthetic SAE 60 Racing Oil
is highly resistant to evaporative losses, which keeps oil
consumption rates low. Low rates of oil consumption also means
the oil flows freely because it doesn't boil off and thicken,
ensuring dependable lubrication and protection.
Retains its Viscosity
AMSOIL Super Heavy-Weight Synthetic SAE 60 Racing Oil retains its
viscosity grade, which is important for race engines, motorcycle
engines and other engines subject to high-temperature/high-stress operations. The viscosity grade that is installed in the
engine is the viscosity grade that stays in the engine.
Viscosity retention ensures that a protective film of
lubrication remains between working metal parts, preventing
metal-to-metal contact and consequent wear or failure.
Protects Against Rust and Corrosion/Resists Foaming
AMSOIL Super Heavy-Weight Synthetic SAE 60 Racing Oil seals
out rust, which is especially important for engines subject to
frequent short-trip operations or frequent periods of storage.
It neutralizes acids, which protects engines from the damage
caused by the corrosive by-products of combustion. AMSOIL Super
Heavy-Weight Racing Oil also resists foaming,
offering protection against the metal-to-metal contact and wear
that occurs with foamy oils.
Service Life
Race Engines:
Oil changes specified by
vehicle owner's experience or based on the findings of oil
analysis*.
Motorcycles and Recreational Vehicles:
Without oil
filtration: Follow engine manufacturer's oil drain
interval recommendations.
With oil
filtration: Change oil up to two times longer than the
manufacturer's recommendations or 6 months, whichever
comes first.
*Oil Analyzers, Inc., a
division of AMSOIL, Inc., provides cost effective,
quality oil analysis services.
Oil Filter Service Intervals
Extended oil drain intervals are based on the user
following AMSOIL recommended oil filter service
intervals:
-
If using an
AMSOIL Ea™ Oil Filter, install a new oil filter at time of oil change.
AMSOIL Ea™ Oil Filters offer a 25,000-mile or one-year
service life, whichever comes first.
-
If using other brands of oil filters, install a
new oil filter at time of oil change then change at
the engine manufacturer's recommended filter change
intervals.
Note: AMSOIL
Ea™ Oil Filters are designed for extended drain intervals. They
stop smaller particles, allow more oil flow and last
longer than regular filters.
Applications
AMSOIL Super Heavy-Weight Synthetic SAE 60
Racing Oil is excellent for use in high-performance
gasoline engines that require the use of SAE 60 motor
oil, including vintage and classic motorcycles often
equipped with air-cooled engines. It is formulated with
a complete American
Petroleum Institute (API) and Japan Automobile
Standards Association (JASO) additive systems and may be used in
any engine requiring specific API and JASO oils. AMSOIL Super Heavy-Weight Synthetic SAE
60 Racing Oil is recommended for
applications requiring the worldwide performance
specifications listed on the AMSOIL Corporate website
(see "Engine Protection Requirements" below). AMSOIL Super
Heavy-Weight Racing Oil is not recommended for use in cold-temperature applications.
Engine Protection Requirements
AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oils meet or exceed specific API, ACEA
and ILSAC service classifications and the engine protection
requirements of various domestic and foreign engine
manufacturers. Please visit the AMSOIL
Corporate website for an
up-to-date listing on this product.
