Protects Against Wear
AMSOIL Synthetic 0W-20 Motor Oil is a shear stable formulation
with a high viscosity index. It provides excellent viscosity
film strength to separate metal surfaces and contains robust
anti-wear additives for the best possible engine protection.
Maximizes Fuel Economy
As stricter fuel economy standards are being set, automakers
are turning to low-viscosity oils (such as 0W-20 grades) for
their fuel economy benefits. AMSOIL Synthetic 0W-20
Motor Oil efficiently transfers energy from the engine to the drive train;
its ability to reduce friction inhibits the
energy loss to drag common to high-viscosity oils. And, unlike most oil manufacturers, AMSOIL insists
on using long-life viscosity index improvers that not only allow
their oil to pass required fuel economy tests, but to also
provide continued fuel economy and wear protection throughout
the life of the oil. It is, after all, part and parcel of the
oil's formulation Anti-friction additives are included to further improve energy
efficiency. Motorists seeking the ultimate in fuel
efficiency may use AMSOIL 0W-20
Motor Oil in place of 5W-20 motor
oils.
Excels in Temperature Extremes
AMSOIL Synthetic 0W-20 Motor Oil resists thermal breakdown
better than conventional oils. It is heavily fortified with
detergent and dispersant additives to prevent sludge deposits
and keep engines clean. And unlike conventional oils, AMSOIL
Synthetic 0W-20 Motor Oil contains no wax. It stays fluid down
to -65°F for improved cold temperature oil flow, reduced bearing
wear and easier starting.
Reduces Oil Consumption and Emissions
Volatility (burn-off) occurs when oil gets hot, causing high
oil consumption and emissions. AMSOIL Synthetic 0W-20 Motor Oil
has a very low volatility rate, making it excellent at
controlling volatility related oil consumption and emissions.
Extended Service Life
AMSOIL Synthetic 0W-20 Motor Oil can extend drain intervals
far beyond those recommended for conventional oils. Its unique
synthetic formulation and long drain additive system are very
stable, resisting oxidation and neutralizing acids. AMSOIL
Synthetic 0W-20 Motor Oil delivers the best possible engine
protection, cleanliness and performance over extended drain
intervals, reducing vehicle maintenance and waste oil disposal
costs.
AMSOIL Synthetic 0W-20 Motor Oil is recommended for extended
drain intervals in unmodified, mechanically sound
gasoline-fueled vehicles as follows:
Normal Service:
Up to 25,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first
Severe Service:
Up to 15,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first

Oil Filter Service Intervals
Extended oil drain intervals are based on the user
following AMSOIL recommended oil filter service intervals:
-
If using an
AMSOIL Ea™ Oil Filter, install a new oil filter at time of oil change.
AMSOIL Ea™ Oil Filters offer a 25,000-mile or one-year
service life, whichever comes first.
-
If using other brands of oil filters, install a
new oil filter at time of oil change then change at
the engine manufacturer's recommended filter change
intervals.
Note: AMSOIL
Ea™ Oil Filters are designed for extended drain intervals. They
stop smaller particles, allow more oil flow and last
longer than regular filters.
Good to Know
-
For best results, use
AMSOIL
Engine Flush before installing AMSOIL synthetic
motor oil.
-
For maximum engine protection
and best performance, use
an AMSOIL
Ea™ Oil Filter and an
AMSOIL Ea™ Air Filter.
-
AMSOIL recommends checking the oil
at a minimum of every 3,000 miles to maintain proper fill levels
and maximum engine protection.
-
Most quick lube
service centers will install these products upon
request or install them yourself.
Applications
AMSOIL Synthetic 0W-20 Motor Oil is recommended for
Honda, Acura, DaimlerChrysler, Toyota, Ford and all
other applications where SAE 0W-20 or 5W-20 is required,
including those under warranty. It is recommended for
applications requiring the worldwide performance
specifications listed on the AMSOIL Corporate website
(see "Engine Protection Requirements" below).
Engine Protection Requirements
AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oils meet or exceed specific API, ACEA
and ILSAC service classifications and the engine protection
requirements of various domestic and foreign engine
manufacturers. Please visit the AMSOIL
Corporate website for an
