AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease is a lithium complex
extreme pressure grease specially
formulated for vehicles that operate in wet conditions and plant machinery
that undergoes frequent or prolonged exposure to water. Its resistance
to water washout makes it ideal for use in wheel bearings of vehicles and trailers frequently
exposed to water, mud, snow or ice, such as boat trailers, tow vehicles, snowmobiles and off-road
vehicles. It is also excellent for use in plant machinery, such as paper mills, plastic
roll-molding plants and rubber processing facilities.

Resists Water Washout
 Water
dislodges and degrades grease, which promotes accelerated
component wear. AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease
offers superb cohesion and adhesion –- it holds together and clings tenaciously to metal, even
when wetted by a pressurized stream of water. The industry
standard test (ASTM D 1264 Water
Washout Test), proves AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease
has superior water-washout and spray-off resistance, as
shown in the graph to the right. AMSOIL Water Resistant
Grease seals metal surfaces to protect from rust and
corrosion, even in very wet environments or
applications with frequent exposure to water and/or prolonged
water contact.
Protects Even Under Heavy Loads
AMSOIL Synthetic Water
Resistant Grease is
an extreme-pressure-fortified grease offering outstanding protection
against sudden, severe load increase. It protects components from
metal-to-metal contact even under heavy loads.
Equipment Runs Cooler and Deposit-Free
AMSOIL Water Resistant Grease also offers outstanding friction
reduction, which helps components run cooler and more efficiently than
they do with conventional greases. It resists the damaging
effects of high temperatures and oxidation so
components stay deposit-free for optimal
performance and long life.
Eliminates the Need for Separate High-Temperature and Low-Temperature Greases
AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease provides outstanding
protection in high-temperature applications and its high
viscosity index also gives it excellent low-temperature
performance -- which allows this grease to replace separate high-
and low-temperature products, reducing grease inventories.
Extended Service Life/Long Shelf Life
AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease resists oxidation,
high-temperature degradation and additive depletion so
effectively, it may be used for longer service intervals than
conventional greases. AMSOIL Water Resistant Grease
also resists oil separation and offers a long shelf life.
Compatibility
AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease is compatible with
most seal materials and most other greases.
Applications
AMSOIL Synthetic Water Resistant Grease meets the highest
performance standards set by the National Lubrication Grease
Institute (NLGI), GC for wheel bearing applications and LB for
chassis applications. It may be used in automotive wheel
bearings, chassis or other applications for which an NLGI #2 GC
or LB grease is recommended.
