Praises AMSOIL!

LNG
Publishing Company, Inc.
In the March 2003 issue of
Lubes 'n' Greases,
Automotive Editor David McFall wrote an
in-depth article on the subject of extended oil drain intervals and
touted AMSOIL as a safe, cost-effective and environmentally preferred
choice. He praised AMSOIL for their commitment to excellence and labeled
AMSOIL "unshackled"
for never conforming to industry norms and standards.

Compare AMSOIL to Mobil 1,
Pennzoil, Quaker State, Castrol and more!

AMSOIL 10W-30 Motor Oil and ten
competing oils were subjected to a series of tests. AMSOIL
outperformed all the competitors in nearly every test! See the
impressive test results!

Superior Formulation
AMSOIL Universal Synthetic 75W/80W-90 Marine Gear Lube is an
exclusive AMSOIL formulation of synthetic base
oils and high performance additives that address
the specific concerns of marine applications. It
is an extreme pressure lubricant that
provides superior protection from shock loading caused by
propeller cavitation. Cavitation is common in high-horsepower,
high-torque applications and occurs when the propeller spins too
quickly, mixing air with water and losing traction, causing
vibration, noise and lower unit shock loading. AMSOIL Universal
Synthetic Marine Gear Lube offers superior
protection for fast accelerating, high-torque/horsepower engines
by protecting against shock loading from cavitation of heavily loaded
engines.
Outstanding Protection Against Rust and Corrosion
AMSOIL Universal Synthetic 75W/80W-90 Marine
Gear Lube is marine formulated, so it protects
against rust and is compatible with aluminum,
copper and brass alloys.
Water Resistant
AMSOIL Universal Synthetic 75W/80W-90 Marine Gear Lube
is water resistant. It promotes longer seal life,
preventing excessive water leakage, and it
maintains extreme pressure protection, even when contaminated
with as much as 10% water. Water contamination can increase the
likelihood of foaming. The presence of foam in a
lubricant disrupts oil film and promotes wear.
The
chart below demonstrates the ability of AMSOIL
Universal Synthetic Marine Gear Lube to maintain
designed qualities such as extreme
pressure/anti-wear performance and resistance to
foaming, even when subjected to 10% water
contamination.
-
The FALEX test
demonstrates that AMSOIL Universal Synthetic Marine Gear
Lube is not affected by water and provides 50% more extreme
pressure protection than its competitors for long gear and
bearing life.
-
The Foam Stability Test
demonstrates that conventional gear lubes can
foam when mixed with water, yet AMSOIL Universal Synthetic
Marine Gear Lube aced the test with absolutely no foam!

*The FALEX Test is measurement
of a gear lube's extreme pressure and anti-wear
properties. A high value in the FALEX Extreme
Pressure Test relates to extra extreme pressure
protection. |

Multiple Applications
AMSOIL Universal Marine Gear Lube is SAE 75W/80W-90 and
replaces both 75W-90 and 80W-90 gear lubes.
Service Life
Follow manufacturers recommended service intervals. It is
generally a good idea to change gear lube at the end of the
season prior to storage.
Applications
AMSOIL Universal Synthetic 75W/80W-90 Marine
Gear Lube is recommended for fresh and salt
water applications and performs in all outboard
lower units, stern drives, V-drives, bow and
tunnel thrusters and marine transmissions that
require either 75W-90 or 80W-90 and meet GL-4 or
GL-5 specifications. AMSOIL Universal Synthetic
Marine Gear Lube may be used in (but is not
