Accommodates Changes in Diesel Fuel and Diesel Engines
Diesel fuels, like diesel engines, are changing to meet
emission and other environmental requirements. The reduced
sulfur levels in modern ultra-low-sulfur diesel fuel (ULSD)
result in reduced lubricity, the property that controls wear in
the fuel injectors and fuel pump. Improving lubricity in ULSD is
difficult because it must be done without adding sulfur back
into the fuel. Additionally, ULSD is subjected to extensive
refining, making it even more difficult to treat. For these
reasons, many competitive claims are not based on ULSD fuels,
rendering them inaccurate and irrelevant. AMSOIL Diesel
Concentrate Performance Fuel Additive is formulated specifically
for modern ULSD fuel.
New emission regulations have brought on engine
modifications such as exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), causing
rapid TBN depletion due to acid formation and higher levels of
soot loading in the oil. Higher soot and particulate content has
resulted in the introduction of diesel particulate filters, but
they clog easily, lowering engine efficiency. All of these
changes mean that new diesel fuel needs quality diesel fuel additives
to keep equipment operating efficiently and prevent malfunction. AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate

Separates Fuel and Water
AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate Performance Fuel Additive is an
alcohol-free product that protects fuel systems against water
contamination. It helps prevent fuel/water emulsions (as shown
in photo) and it protects metal against rust. Water can be
drained easier and fuel filters are less likely to plug,
ensuring drivability.
Increases Fuel Efficiency and Restores Horsepower
Diesel engines become less efficient over time. As shown in
the photo, fuel injector deposits interrupt spray patterns,
causing poor fuel atomization, incomplete combustion, excessive
emissions and smoke. Clean injectors spray evenly. Tests prove
that AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate Performance Fuel Additive cleans dirty injectors, improving
fuel economy by up to five percent and restoring horsepower to
like new. Acceleration is improved and, with regular use, AMSOIL

With high rates of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) in modern
diesel engines, acids from combustion are of particular concern. AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate Performance Fuel Additive neutralizes acids during combustion.
It helps reduce acid caused cylinder wear and helps extend
engine oil TBN, maintaining engine oil quality longer for better
protection.
Fuel Stabilizer
AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate Performance Fuel Additive contains fuel
stabilizers that keep diesel fuel fresh during storage, reducing
the rate at which fuel degrades. Fuel degradation can cause gums
and sediments that block fuel lines, plug filters and lead to sludging and rusting. AMSOIL Diesel
Concentrate diesel fuel additive significantly
improves the oxidation and thermal stability of diesel fuel.
AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate overcompensates for ultra low
sulfur diesel (ULSD) fuel’s potential stability loss caused by
extra processing and sulfur removal. Diesel fuel treated with
AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate easily meets the requirements of the
National Council of Weights and Measures (NCWM) Premium Diesel

recommended for use with all types of heavy and light duty, on
or off road and marine diesel engines. Use with every new tank
of fuel for the best performance and protection against fuel
pump wear, injector wear and injector deposits. Add Diesel
Concentrate to fuel before storage.
AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate is compatible with all types
of exhaust emission systems such as diesel particulate filters
(DPFs). It complies with the federal low sulfur content
requirements for use in diesel motor vehicles and non-road
engines. AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate meets and exceeds all
catalytic converter requirements.
How To Use
For use in all diesel engines. Recommended mix ratio is one
ounce of AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate Performance Fuel Additive per
five gallons of diesel fuel. One 16-ounce bottle of AMSOIL
Diesel Concentrate treats 80 gallons of diesel fuel.
AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate comes in a convenient
16-ounce clear bottle with graduations on the side to ensure
correct dosages. The bottle has a 22 ml. opening that fits
directly into gas tanks. AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate is compatible
and excellent for use with
AMSOIL
Cetane Boost
and
AMSOIL
Diesel Cold Flow Improver.
