Praises AMSOIL!

LNG
Publishing Company, Inc.
In the March 2003 issue of
Lubes 'n' Greases,
Automotive Editor David McFall wrote an
in-depth article on the subject of extended oil drain intervals and
touted AMSOIL as a safe, cost-effective and environmentally preferred
choice. He praised AMSOIL for their commitment to excellence and labeled
AMSOIL "unshackled"
for never conforming to industry norms and standards.

AMSOIL 10W-30 Motor Oil and ten
competing oils were subjected to a series of tests. AMSOIL
outperformed all the competitors in nearly every test! See the

"All-Season" Oil Without the Use of Viscosity
Index (VI) Improvers
AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30 Heavy-Duty Diesel Oil is formulated with premium synthetic
base oils that exceed both 10W-30 multi-grade and SAE 30 straight-grade viscosity requirements for
outstanding performance in modern and older diesel
engines. Unlike conventional SAE 30 motor oils, AMSOIL 10W-30/SAE
30 Diesel Oil has a naturally high viscosity index
and does not contain paraffin (wax). It has a
-38°F pour point and qualifies for SAE 10W, making
it an “all-season” multi-grade lubricant with a wide operating
temperature range. AMSOIL 10W-30/SAE 30 Heavy-Duty Diesel Oil is formulated
without viscosity index (VI) improvers. This shear-stable
formulation stops viscosity loss and associated bearing and
cylinder bore wear.
- SAE 10W-30
performance without VI improvers
- Superior protection over a broad range of
operating temperatures
- Contains 12 TBN for outstanding wear
protection
- Cost-effective replacement for conventional
oils
- Fuel efficient
- Excellent shear stability
- Extended service life

Its 12 TBN Offers Outstanding Wear Protection
AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30 Heavy-Duty Diesel Oil is a super heavy-duty diesel lubricant
designed for use in commercial and industrial applications and is
recommended for virtually every diesel application that specifies this
viscosity. It contains premium additives with a high
12 TBN to neutralize acids from blow-by, exhaust
gas recirculation (EGR) and high-sulfur diesel
fuels. It protects against damaging piston
deposits, ring sticking and sludge. In every engine
tested (including Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, Cummins and Mack), the
advanced 12 TBN additive system of AMSOIL 10W-30/SAE 30 Heavy-Duty Diesel Oil significantly
reduced ring wear, ring breakage, cylinder bore polishing, cylinder lining
wear, piston deposits and oil consumption.
Retains Its Viscosity
AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30 Heavy-Duty Diesel Oil loses only 6.3% of its mass to high-temperature volatility (conventional oils often lose over 15%), which
reduces oil consumption and hydrocarbon emissions. It also allows
the oil to retain its original viscosity after high-temperature service
for continued dependable protection, fuel economy, peak engine performance
and extended drain intervals.
Prevents Rust
AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30 Heavy-Duty Diesel Oil's special rust-inhibiting additives reduce rust, which makes it ideal for
equipment stored long term.
Extended Service Life
AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30 Heavy-Duty Diesel Oil is a proven long-drain oil and can extend drain intervals
far beyond those recommended for conventional oils. Its unique
synthetic formulation and long-drain additive system deliver the
best possible engine protection, cleanliness and performance
over extended drain intervals, reducing vehicle maintenance and
waste oil disposal costs. AMSOIL Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel
Oil is recommended for extended drain intervals in
unmodified, mechanically sound vehicles or equipment as
follows:
Personal light truck vehicles with diesel engines:
Normal
Service: Up to 25,000 miles or one year, whichever
comes first, or longer based on oil analysis.
Severe
Service: Up to 15,000 miles or one year, whichever
comes first, or longer based on oil analysis.
Commercial or fleet vehicles, long-haul trucks,
marine craft, RV/motor homes and off-road equipment with
diesel engines:
Non-EGR
equipped diesels: Up to two times the OEM (original
equipment manufacturer) recommended drain interval
or one year, whichever comes first, or longer based
on oil analysis.
EGR equipped
or low emission diesels: Extend drain intervals
based on oil analysis or use the longest drain
recommendation of the OEM (original equipment
manufacturer).
Personal vehicles with gasoline engines:
Up to two
times the OEM (original equipment manufacturers)
recommended drain interval (not to exceed 15,000
miles without oil analysis) or one year, whichever
comes first.
Please visit the AMSOIL Corporate website for
more details on this product. Oil Filter Service Intervals
Extended oil drain intervals are based on the user
following AMSOIL recommended oil filter service intervals:
Personal light truck vehicles with
diesel or gasoline engines:
If
using an AMSOIL Ea™ Oil Filter, install a new oil
filter at time of oil change. AMSOIL Ea™ Oil
Filters offer a 25,000-mile or one-year service
life, whichever comes first.
If
using other brands of oil filters, install a new
oil filter at time of oil change then change at
the engine manufacturer's recommended filter
change intervals.
Commercial, fleet, marine and RVs/motor homes with
diesel engines:
If using an
AMSOIL Ea™ Oil Filter, install a new oil filter at time of oil change
then change at 2X (two times) the OEM standard
interval, not to exceed 60,000 miles in
long-haul trucks.
If using other brands of oil filters, install a
new oil filter at time of oil change then change at
the engine manufacturer's recommended filter change
intervals.
Note:
AMSOIL
Ea™ Oil Filters are designed for extended drain intervals. They
stop smaller particles, allow more oil flow and last
longer than regular filters. Good to Know

Applications
Where these viscosity grades are
specified, AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30
Heavy-Duty Diesel Oil provides
outstanding performance as a straight-grade SAE 30
for older two- and four-stroke diesels and as a
multi-grade SAE 10W-30 in modern four-stroke
diesels as well as gasoline engines. AMSOIL
10W-30/SAE 30 Heavy-Duty Diesel Oil is ideal for
use in a wide variety of light- and heavy-duty
applications, including those under warranty, such
as agriculture, off-road
construction, trucking, mining, industrial (pumps
and generators) and personal automotive or
commercial transportation. It is recommended for
use with low- or high-sulfur diesel fuels in
standard, turbocharged or supercharged engines,
including modern low-emission diesels such as
those equipped with EGR systems. AMSOIL 10W-30/SAE
30 Heavy-Duty Diesel Oil is recommended for applications
requiring the worldwide performance
specifications listed on the AMSOIL Corporate
website (see "Engine Protection Requirements" below).
Engine Protection Requirements
